NAUSEA AND VOMMITING
One of the most common problems you might be experiencing in pregnancy is nausea and vomiting. There is evidence that about 50% to 90% of women pregnant encounter this disorder. It is often one of the early signs of pregnancy. It usually in the morning and often stops by the end of the first three months however for about 20% of women it may linger on throughout pregnancy. There are many theories about the causes of this uncomfortable problem. It is believed an increase in a hormone known as human chorionic gonathrophin is responsible. The hormone is responsible for maintaining pregnancy during the first few weeks until the placenta is matured enough to take over in providing all the necessary nourishment until the birth of the baby.
HERE ARE A FEW TIPS THAT MAY HELP
*Avoid rushing out of bed, this may be difficult especially for a mother with other young children to get ready for school, you might take this opportunity tell your partner to help out or anybody you can confide in to support you with the kids.
* You may try eating dry biscuit or dry toast.
* Make an effort to take in fluids to replace what you may be loosing through vomiting , this can be possible by taking sips at frequent intervals.
* You are encouraged to avoid fat and greasy foods, due to long absorption time as result of relaxed intestinal action.
